Safety
      The ethyl maltol is marketing as per the stipulation of FCC(Food Chemical Code). Its serial number ,as foodstuff safe additive at Federal Drugs Administration, is :21 CFR 172.515. Its FEMA(Food Essence Manufacturer Association) Serial number is 3487. It's the product recognized by both European Communities/Scientific Committee of Food (EC/SCF) and Chinese Food Additives Association(CD).

Flavour enhancing

It has high solubility and can sublime at quite low temperatures, which makes it flavour enhancing feature that widely applied in ice cream, beverages, meat products, confectionery, etc. and highly enhance their fragrances.

 A.The ethyl maltol can be made up as 2.5 storage solution and then applied as per adding amount. The storage solution shoule be reserved in brownish glass bottle.(One gram ethyl matol can be solved in 56 ml water, 10ml ethanolk, 17 ml glycol, its melting point is 89-92)
 B.Ethyl maltol will turn into purplish red in presence of ferrous chlouide and should be kept away from iron.
